Set against the iconic backdrop of Thirsk’s historic market place, the artisan market highlights the region’s best independent makers, bakers, and producers. Visitors can look forward to seasonal delights and handcrafted goods, including ceramics, original artwork and photography, home decor, and delicious cakes and bakes. With a definite change in the air, the market reflects the new season, with stallholders offering goods that celebrate the beauty and spirit of all things Autumn.

Jackie Crozier, Managing Director of Little Bird Made said:

“Autumn is a wonderful time to visit Thirsk Market Place. Our artisan market brings together unique talent, seasonal produce, and community spirit. It is the ideal opportunity to shop local, discover one-of-a-kind treasures, and enjoy a day exploring this beautiful market town, with its charming cobbled streets, independent shops and iconic local attractions.”

Indira Perez, owner of Bella Ciao Empanadas, said:

“There’s nothing quite like a freshly baked, hand folded empanada on a crisp autumn day. We are thrilled to bring our authentic street food to Thirsk Market Place this October. We take huge pride in using traditional methods to craft every single one of our bakes, and we can’t wait to welcome regular and new customers on Sunday, while trading alongside so many fantastic Yorkshire artisans.”

The monthly market provides a platform for small and independent businesses, showcasing the artistic talents of the region. Free to enter, it is a family and dog-friendly event that encourages residents and visitors alike to explore the charming town centre, support local artisans and high street businesses, and enjoy a bustling atmosphere.
